Vodafone data costs

Vodafone data costs

I just got an N73 on Vodafone, because it was the only way to get an unbranded handset (from a Nokia shop) with a contact.

I really wanted T-mobile's 拢7.50 'unlimited' web'n'walk data add on, but couldn't wait for them to release the N73. At least my unbranded handset will get get the latest firmware soon, so I can delete emails

Am I stuck with really expensive (拢2.35 per Mb) data? I can't find any mention of data bundles on the Vodafone website, except in relation to the laptop card. Even O2 do date bundles - shame they forgot to roll out 3G .

If I sign up to Mobile TV, will that allow 'unlimited' data downloads for non-TV usage? Or do they allow vast amounts of data to flow for the TV service, and at the same time rob you for each Mb of non-TV data?

Vodafone really need to get their act together on data tarrifs, they seem way behind T-Mobile and Orange at the moment (Orange have a free evening and weekend deal for 拢5).

The sales woman also told me that data can come out of the text message allowance on my call plan. I assume this means e.g. 100 text x 12p = 拢12 worth of data ~ 5Mb. I have a horrible feeling they stopped doing this (presumeably to rob customers a bit more).

Any suggestions?
