Data Plans/Smart phones

Well its that time again to pick out a new phone. This time I'd like some more added features. I would like to have more of a PDA (that still can be used as a phone) so I can do some calendar planning and interact with my PC. I have access to a computer all day so I could really care less about internet, etc. When I go to "buy" a Treo, it only gives me the option of picking a data plan. I don't want a data plan. I just want my normal phone plan. Hopefully that made sense. Is this possible?
