3mobile simcard in non 3mobile handsets

3mobile simcard in non 3mobile handsets

Has anybody successfully used a 3mobile simcard in a non 3mobile handset, for instance a P900?

I am thinking of buying a P900 but want to remain on my 3mobile contract and am unsure if you can use 3mobile sims in non 3mobile phones?

Has anyone tried this?

Cheers!

How to exchange e616 for LG8110

I had problems with the NEC e616 restarting all the time, no suprise there. Today however, I came back to my phone which was asking for PIN1 and was saying I only had one try remaining. Now no-one could have touched the phone because my room was locked and I had left my phone switched on, attached to network and charging. I tried typing my PIN in but the phone had frozen. So I removed the battery, started the phone up and it says it needs the PUK code, I had never tried to enter the PIN once yet! So I went to phone customer services and got through to the Indian call centre saying their services were not working and to please call back later. Very infuriated, I went across the road to Phones4U. They phoned up customer services, got through this time and got my PUK code. The phone worked again.

Howver, ...... you don't ask, you don't get, right? I asked how could prevent this happening again, and he said just take the PUK code with you, but I asked is there no way I could get this replaced? He said I was out of the 30 day exchange, so no. I replied with that I knew Three were having serious problems with these handsets and they have had a very high return rate. Is there any way I could get this exhanged for the LG 8110, he said no, but I replied that the phone was pretty useless as it is. So he said, what do you want me to ask my manager, that you want an upgrade to the LG8110? I said yes, and the manager came over and I said again about how I knew Three were having serious problems and that the handset was really bad, and he just returned with "If you bring the NEC e616 back in its box today, i'll exhange it" I returned within ten minutes and they did the exchange with some dodgy whispers and typing on their computers.

I couldn't believe it, I now have a great phone ( apart from my bluetooth headset is now useless, but ebay will refund me ;-) ) and all for nothing. Try it yourself, be stern but polite and post your results.

PS - Aren't _some _ phone sales men just like used car salesmen, but worse???
