Vodafone's £20 fee for loan phones

Vodafone's new 'courtesy phone' service has provoked anger among some of its customers. Low spending customers are being charged £20 for loan phones under a new scheme launched at the start of the year.

But the network says it has had to introduce the fee to accommodate other changes in the scheme, which, it claims, make the best after-care service in the market and offering the courtesy Sharp GX15 handsets free to higher spenders.
